Bauhaus Windows
In May 2015 a temporary events pavilion was opened on the grounds of the Bauhaus-Archiv / Museum für Gestaltung in Berlin – the bauhaus re use. The recycling building serves as an information center, discussion platform and the new venue for educational events.
The determining architectural elements are about 100 meters of re-used steel windows from 1976 from the Bauhaus building in Dessau.
The film’s images give insights into erecting the pavilion. The building is in all its aspects a declaration of love for the ideas of the Bauhaus.
The film explores the creation of an experiment with utopian character addressing social, historical and ecological aspects.
