Learning From The Bauhaus
Students of architecture and trainees in the construction industry from Germany and Israel construct and design a pavilion in Berlin, which they realize six months later in Tel Aviv. The building that emerges is the wooden outline of a simple house, tipped overhead, situated on the premises of Tel Aviv University.
The idea of the project is to draw on the shared, positively connotated legacy of the Bauhaus ideas. Craftsmen and architects come together in a transnational context in order to find a common expression.
The building was dismantled a few months after its construction. Work relationships and friendships among participants persist.
