The Hauptbahnhof Project

Harun Farocki's work "Dangerous Games" was a methodological starting point for a 5-day workshop with pupils of the Walter Gropius Gemeinschaftsschule Neukölln. Harun Farocki's daughter Anna Faroqhi and Haim Peretz, together with students of the 9th grade, observed with the camera the control system that the central train station in Berlin forms. The students filmed and edited their joint project.

The images of the finished film show busy life in the big city, waiting and disorientation, but also work processes, which usually does not occur in the normal perception of a train station.

The film was commissioned by the Department of Education / Communication of the National Museums in Berlin. The youth project was made possible by Outset Contemporary Art Fund e.V.
